Young alpinist Gabriel Jungo discovered his passion for mountaineering at an early age, and he pursues it in every free minute. This summer, he and his team are implementing his 48×4000 project.

At the age of 14, Gabriel took a climbing course. Just one year later, he climbed the Allalinhorn (4,027 m above sea level). Motivated by alpinists like Ueli Steck, he intensified his training in the following years and participated in his first expedition to Khan Tengri (7,010 m above sea level) in 2021. After the expedition, he knew he wanted to turn his passion into a career.
Today, Gabriel uses every free minute to plan and carry out new expeditions in remote areas and speed climbs in the Alps.
Gabriel is currently working on his summer project 48x4000 The goal of the project is to climb all 4000-meter peaks in Switzerland in one go and "by fair means." "By fear means" means foregoing motorized vehicles and mountain railways and covering all distances under one's own muscle power.
