Small balls, big power. These sweet protein power balls take just minutes to make, provide energy, and give you a chocolatey treat. They are perfect as a snack or a sweet dessert.
They will keep in the freezer for several weeks, so they are always on hand when you feel peckish or have spontaneous visitors.
Here's how...
Step 1
Soak dates in hot water for 10 minutes, drain, and finely chop in a blender.
Step 2
Add ground almonds, cocoa powder, protein powder and salt, and mix everything into a sticky mass.
Step 3
If the mixture is too firm, add 1-2 teaspoons of water.
Step 4
Flatten a small amount of the mixture in your hand, place a whole almond in the center and form it into a ball.
Step 5
Roll the balls in cocoa powder or desiccated coconut.
Step 6
Allow to set for approximately 30 minutes in the refrigerator or directly in the freezer.
