We’re taking a short holiday break – so until September 17, test package orders are temporarily unavailable. Thank you for your patience! All other orders will be processed as usual.

Frequently asked questions about naturalness, compatibility and well-being

I don’t tolerate dairy products. Can I consume your products without concern?

It depends on why you don’t tolerate dairy products. If you are lactose intolerant and cannot digest milk sugar, you can enjoy our whey shake without concern. However, the Recovery Shake Powder does contain lactose (Note for those who tested or purchased the Recovery Shake Powder from the first production batch: that version was lactose-free and is labeled accordingly).

If you have a milk protein allergy, our products are not suitable for you, as whey is a component of milk and contains milk proteins.

Why is Pause Gnuss advertised as lactose-free when whey, as a dairy product, contains a lot of lactose?

Fermentation with yogurt cultures breaks down the lactose. To ensure complete safety, lactase, a natural enzyme, is used in the process to break down any remaining lactose. Pause Gnuss is lactose-free and can be safely enjoyed even by those who are lactose intolerant.

Why do I tolerate your products better than other protein products?

This observed positive effect on digestion is very likely due to the whey proteins – and the absence of other milk proteins (caseins), which are often present in protein-enriched products.

We use only whey and whey proteins, which are more easily digestible than caseins. This effect is likely further supported in the whey shake through fermentation with yogurt cultures.

Unlike caseins, whey proteins also promote the growth of various species of Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli (probiotic bacteria), which are important for maintaining a balanced and healthy gut microbiome. And last but not least, it’s certainly also due to our consistent focus on naturalness and nutritional balance.
